Medication Information: Proscar (Finasteride)

Uses of Proscar:

In adult men, Proscar is used to decrease an enlarged prostate (also known as benign prostatic hyperplasia or BPH). It can be used alone or in combination with other medications to alleviate BPH symptoms and possibly avoid surgery. Proscar (Finasteride) may help with BPH symptoms by reducing the need to urinate, improving urine flow with less straining, reducing the sense that the bladder isn't empty, and reducing overnight urination.

This medication works by lowering the quantity of DHT, a natural body hormone that drives prostate growth. Proscar isn't approved for prostate cancer prevention. It may raise the risk of acquiring a very dangerous form of prostate cancer by a small amount.

How to use Proscar?

Hi, I'm looking for a prescription to buy finasteride in australia. It's not currently available in the UK, but the price seems to be lower than the price I'm considering. I'm thinking it may be worth trying it to reduce the risk of side effects, but I'll need to see if it helps to reduce the risk of liver damage. I'm a little new to this forum so would appreciate any help. I've been reading about Proscar and Propecia in various forums, but have come across very few such as online forums where people are actually discussing their use of these drugs, and not actually taking the drugs.

Thanks in advance for any advice you may have.

Here is a picture of Proscar (I use it) from a thread byThe Daily Mail. It shows a small black box warning about finasteride:

How much is finasteride?

I've never bought Proscar but when I looked up the generic version I found it was in the same category as Propecia. It's not the same as Propecia, but the price seems to be lower.

I'm a little more cautious about trying the generic, but if you want to try it, I would suggest visiting a pharmacy. It's usually better to buy the medication in a smaller pack and then split the medication into smaller doses. It would cost slightly more for Proscar, but I don't have much money to spend on it, so I would probably not try it for myself.

The generic is still a bit expensive, but I'm starting to get a little familiar with it, so it would be worth a try. Thanks for your time.

I'm not sure if Proscar is the right choice for me.

I've never bought Propecia. It's available at a lower price than Proscar but I do have some doubts about it.

Thanks for the reply.

Good luck with your journey!

Proscar is a very expensive medication. I have a question about its effects on my liver. When I took finasteride for hair loss, I noticed that my liver was more sensitive to finasteride. The only thing that worked was stopping my blood from clotting. I have no problem with that. But if I want to increase the dose of finasteride, I must be able to get it in my system and be able to use it. I've tried all the generics available on the market but I've come across none that seem to work. Does anyone know of a generic version that could be better suited for me? I'm trying to find a lower cost alternative.

Thanks for the advice!

Hello, thanks for the reply! I'm just wondering whether anyone has tried Proscar and Propecia? If they do have any success with these medications, I'll definitely start looking into them.

I've tried Proscar and Propecia in several different doses and have not noticed any significant difference. I think it's just the side effects and how it affects my body. The only question is if anyone has tried them or has any success.

Thanks again.

Hi chris, thanks for the reply. I have been trying Proscar and Propecia for the last three years. I'm very fortunate that I have not been able to use these medications for hair loss. I was told by a friend that I had not been able to stop my blood clotting problems until I started taking finasteride, but I'm not sure if that was the case. The same drug that causes hair loss is Proscar. It's taken daily for around six months, so it seems to be safe for me to take.

My doctor prescribed me Proscar because I felt like I had to stop taking it after 6 months because I was worried that the medication might cause side effects and cause hair loss.
